Odenton Day 2019!

October 5, 2019 |9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Odenton Day is a joint effort by the Odenton Heritage Society, Inc., Odenton Volunteer Fire Company, the Greater Odenton Improvement Association and the Central Maryland Chamber of Commerce. The Odenton Heritage Society will be represented at both the Odenton Heritage Society’s museum and the Odenton Volunteer Fire Company Firehouse.

There will be free guided tours by shuttle bus that start at 10:00AM from the OVFC Firehouse located at 1425 Annapolis Road, to the OHS Historical Center, at 1367 Odenton Road and back. The tour will offer the opportunity to learn why Odenton is called “The Town a Railroad Built,” pass through Odenton’s historic area, view two sites on the National Register of Historic Places, and pay a visit to our historical museum.

Celebrate Odenton’s hula hoop heritage, yes, they were made here in the 1950s, with a special museum display and free hula hoops to the first 12 children age 12 or under!

At the Odenton Firehouse there will be free hot dogs, chips and drinks. Also, there will be fire related demonstrations, music, dancing and entertainment, activities for kids and displays by West County organizations and businesses.

Please plan on visiting us at both locations! We look forward to seeing you!
