Odenton Day 2024
October 5 |9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Come out for a day of fun on Odenton Day 2024, Saturday, October 5th!
The Odenton Heritage Society will be represented at both the Odenton Volunteer Fire Company Firehouse and the Odenton Heritage Society’s Historical Center and Museum.
The Odenton Volunteer Fire Company open house (located at 1425 Annapolis Road), will include free hot dogs, chips, and drinks, music and entertainment and displays by West County organizations and businesses.
There will be free guided tours by shuttle bus leaving from the OVFC Firehouse to the OHS Historical Center and back. The tour will offer the opportunity to learn why Odenton is called “The Town a Railroad Built,” pass through Odenton’s historic area, view two sites on the National Register of Historic Places, and pay a visit to our historical museum. At our museum, enjoy displays depicting the growth of Odenton as a railroad center and industrial town since the 1870s. Learn how Odenton’s railroad workers connected Baltimore, Washington, and Annapolis with train service before cars and highways were common.
Odenton Day is a partnership of the Odenton Heritage Society, Odenton Volunteer Fire Company, Greater Odenton Improvement Association, and the Central Maryland Chamber of Commerce.
