Visit the Historical Center
The OHS Historical Center and Museum is open to the public on the first Sunday of every month from 1PM-4PM and by appointment on other days. Admission is free and tours are offered. Our OHS members and volunteers are eager to answer questions and share stories.
We have a number of items for sale that you can purchase while you’re visiting us. We have historical Odenton inspired items to include books on the history of Odenton, illustrations and post cards, and old authentic Odenton rail road spikes. All items sold help support the efforts of the Odenton Heritage Society.
Explore the Museum
The Odenton Heritage Society is proud to maintain a museum on the second floor of the Odenton Historical Center located at 1367 Odenton Road. This museum houses many artifacts, photographs, and reading materials offering a glimpse of life in Odenton from the mid-1800s to today. Learn about the railroads that helped Odenton blossom into a bustling town. See photographs of old schools, churches, and homes. Learn about the many general stores that served Odenton’s residents and workers. And get details on many of Odenton’s personalities, from school teachers and railroad workers, to veterans of our nation’s wars, and even a former member of baseball’s Brooklyn Dodgers.
