OHS September 2025 Open House
September 6 |1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
The Odenton Heritage Society invites the public to an open house on Sunday, September 6, at the restored, historic 1912 Old Masonic Hall—now the Odenton Heritage Society Historical Center and Museum.
Return to the era of rock ‘n roll, drive-ins, cool cars, and modern suburban houses in “Odenton in the 1950s and 1960s,” a new display that takes the visitor on a visual journey around town as local roads became busy boulevards for families spreading east and north of Odenton. Enjoy artifacts and photographs from Arundel High School, the Super 170 Drive-in (Odenton’s only movie theater), and Odenton’s first bowling alley. Learn about the early days of Kings Heights and the Odenton Shopping Center, and see how Odenton residents enjoyed their free time at restaurants and country clubs.
With guidance from costumed museum docents, explore the rich history of the town of Odenton from its railroads, homes, churches, and schools to its local businesses and traditions and experience the people, places, and stories that shaped Odenton over the past 155 years.
The Historical Center is located at 1367 Odenton Road. Hours are from 1PM to 4PM. As always, admission and tours are free.
