September Open House

September 5, 2021 |1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Free
In our September Open House, the Odenton Heritage Society will be remembering the 9/11 terrorist attack and paying tribute to all those who were affected on that day twenty years ago. We have a special display in our museum honoring Lt. Jonas Martin Panik, a 1997 graduate of the United States Naval Academy, who lived in Piney Orchard. Lt. Panik worked as a naval intelligence officer in the Pentagon and lost his life when the terrorists attacked the Pentagon on 9/11. The Piney Orchard Community erected a memorial plaque, flagpoles, and a garden in his memory.
The September Open House will be on Sunday, September 5th at the OHS Historical Center, located at 1367 Odenton Road. Hours are 1PM-4PM. Admission is free. Everyone will be required to wear a mask inside the building.
The OHS Museum presents more than 150 years of local history through objects, photographs and A-V programs in a restored 1912 building
Admission and tours are free.
We hope to see you there!
