Come on out for a day of fun on Odenton Day 2023! On Saturday, October 7, the Odenton Heritage Society will open its doors for Odenton Day, the town's annual celebration. Enjoy museum displays depicting the growth of Odenton as a railroad center and industrial town since the 1870s. Learn how Odenton's railroad workers connected Baltimore, Washington, and Annapolis with train service before cars and highways were common. Annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Santa Claus & Mrs. Claus Visit!
Join us for the Annual Odenton Christmas Tree Lighting which will be on Saturday December 2nd from 5PM until 7PM, at the Odenton MARC station located at 1402 Odenton Road (west side of the tracks in front of the OHS old Bank Building). Parking is free. We’ll have refreshments and music. The Odenton Heritage Society will be celebrating the holiday season on Sunday, December 3. There will be a wide variety of crafts and baked goods for sale, along with history related items. The OHS Historical Center Museum presents more than 150 years of local history through objects, photographs, and Audio-Visual programs. Our 1912 Colonial Revival two-story building has been restored and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in August 2022. It is located at 1367 Odenton Road. …

January Open House
On Sunday, January 7, the Odenton Heritage Society will present “Before the Naval Academy Dairy: The Life and Times of the Hammond Family,” a display about the country estate of a prominent 18th century Annapolis family. Located in Gambrills, the 875-acre USNA Dairy replaced the Hammond estate in 1915 and closed in 1998, becoming a land preserve.
