OHS July Open House
On July 7, the Odenton Heritage Society will host July Jubilation, an exploration of religious organizations in early 20th century Odenton. Enjoy red, white, and blue ice cream at the OHS Historical Center and a guided bus tour to Woodwardville with tours of the 1882 Trinity United Methodist Church and cemetery. A Look Back at Camp Patuxent, Odenton’s Summer Camp for African American Children. Summer camps near the water help to define Anne Arundel County’s recreational heritage, but in the early 20th century, racial segregation often shaped camp identities and childhood experiences. Riden & Co., a family-owned business that sold lumber and building material during the first half of the 20th century. OHS CELEBRATES ODENTON DAY! On Saturday, October 5th from 9AM to 2PM, the Odenton Heritage Society will open its doors for the town's annual celebration of Odenton Day, a joint effort by the Odenton Heritage Society, Odenton Volunteer Fire Company, the Greater Odenton Improvement Association, and the Central Maryland Chamber of Commerce.
